Pacific Tree Frogs Galore

| Hanging out together on a shasta daisy |
Last month when my daughter Sarah and her partner Tao were visiting, Sarah discovered this delightful couple who had climbed up the 3-4 foot shasta daisies for a nice view, and who hung out there all day. This adorable picture was taken by Sarah, who is a biologist, artist and nature photographer.
A couple of days later, I noticed this tiny baby frog on a Gerbera daisy. I kept checking on it, and it was content to perch there for the whole day. Pacific tree frogs actually change colour, and as you can see, this one is a very pale green against the vivid yellow of the flower. Another one pictured below blended in with my brown deck.
Another fun fact is that the Pacific tree frog is actually the only frog that makes the ribbit sound.
